Are Assassin snails hermaphrodite?

I have a slight snail infestation in my small tank but want to stop it quickly. I don't want to put in an assassin snail if it will also breed out of control. So, are assassin snail hermaphrodite and able to fertilise their own eggs as I plan to only place one snail in the tank?

They’re not hermaphrodites. I wouldn’t worry about overpopulation bc they stop breeding when the food is gone. I got them for my MTS and the assassins wiped them out. They did breed and there are some in all my tanks, but it’s only a few in each.

No, I had a single one in my tank for months (before selling it) and no eggs or baby assassins.
