Betta sorority question?

Is it possible to set one up in a 20 long? I've heard some people having really bad luck with it but I've also heard success stories as well. I have a empty 20 long that I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I've been thinking about a sorority but not 100% certain if I want to go that route just yet. I just want opinions and if anyone has any experience with it would be great to hear your story.

I tried keeping some girls in a 10 gallon and one or two always got picked on to the point of huddling in a corner.

I think it could work but just like almost every betta sorority, it should be heavily planted to break the line of sight.

Depends on the fish. Some people it works for some it doesn't.
