do you think that maybe if i got a lot of plants and hiding spots that i could get more than one betta in a 30 gallon?

I have read of people keeping multiple bettas in the same tank with little to no aggression. These bettas are usually kept in a 55 gallon or larger, and raised together as babies.

That's called a Sorority Tank cuz it's usually all sisters or females raised together from babies.

Try throwing random females together and you usually get dead females.

I wouldn't put multiple males together or males & females together. My males are in individual tanks but I do have a sorority in a well planted 46g tank. With the females I've seen chasing & some stand offs but no actual fighting as of yet BUT that can change. I keep a close eye on them & am prepared if there are problems to address.
