Today is a sad day. Not only because my favorite fish the bicolor blenny died, but because I cannot figure out why. I have had him for 5 months. My clownfish I have had for almost 2 years and they are fine.
I have a 29 gal. biocube up and running since Sept. 2009. 2 clownfish. 1 matted filefish. Some hermit crabs and 1 turbo snail. I added coral 2 weeks ago. Hammer frag, star polyps, and 1 green porite. Everyone is happy.
I tested the water and all parameters are fine. The blenny was completely happy and normal as of yesterday. Today I saw him and he seemed to be breathing a little heavy. I left to go shopping. When I returned he was gone and then I saw his tail. I moved a rock and sure enough he was dead.
Does anyone have an idea as to what could have happened?
