Blue leg hermits + feather dusters = ?

Buddy of mine is beginning to have an algea problem. Blue leg hermits would probably fix the problem but he is worried that they will eat his feather dusters. He has a piece of rock that has 3-4 small feather dusters on it. If he gets some blue leg hermits will the feather dusters get eaten?

He was also wondering how big the feather dusters get. TIA

There are lots of species of dusters. Seems like the ones on live rock stay small.
My hermits never bother my corals or dusters.

no they will not bother them usually, but there are exceptions....most of those dusters wont get big at all...have some for 24 months now that are still small
