I was looking through bettas online and I found a saltwater betta and was wondering, if there is a saltwater betta and a freshwater betta is there a brackish betta?

Keep calm and rock on

Yes there is a marine betta, however it's a completely different species, and doesn't have a labyrinth organ.

It only has the shape of a betta, otherwise a complete different fish.

Common names can be so misleading. The marine Betta ( also known as a marine Comet) is actually in the grouper family so they are totally separate from each other taxonomically. The wild common Betta( Betta splnedens) has been reported to be found in brackish water however, their cousin, Betta mahachaiensis, is more likely found in estuaries which are brackish in nature. ( There are also some Gourami species also found in these same locations.) So the freshwater and brackish "betta" are related but the saltwater one isn't.

Hope this helps (y)
