Bristlenose Pleco

my Pleco has a few patchy spots with discoloration. Is this because I don't have driftwood in my tank? Sometimes the spots are there and sometimes they are not. Sometimes they are more or less apparent. What is up with this? Is it something I should worry about?

What kind of pleco is it? Just so I can see what it would normally look like.

Just a regular bristlenose Pleco nothing special as far as I know

Apparently pleco a get lighter patches when they are stressed.

I'm thinking it might be diet. I'm going to try and feed more vegetables and fiber and work on getting driftwood too and see what happens. Thanks?
