I was wondering how many others still keep a bubble wand in their tanks if they have thriving plants and a co2 system. Any input would be great. :thanks:

well, don't have Co2 running yet, but I guess most would unless they have timers on their Co2
otherwise, the fish would die bc of lack of O2, i run one on all my planted tanks as a precaution in case anything happens;)

A bubbler would defeat the purpose of injecting co2, as it would allow it to offgas as quickly as it's diffused. The water wants to be at equilibrium with the air surrounding the tank, and will be when provided with sufficient surface agitation. That means, the tank will have somewhere around 7-10ppm co2. Any less, and it'll add some (though, how much less than that you would be at is debatable). If more, it'll off gas it.

I have a bubble wand for the express purpose of rapidly removing co2 from my tank if I get close to over gassing.
