Bubbly stuff on live rock.

Went in to inspect the 10g today and I noticed some bubbly purple stuff on one of the rocks. What is it?

Be careful not to pop one in your tank

Some say emerald crabs eat them also. Not sure though. I did what the guy on the video did. It's never came back

Is he using a pump with the airline tubing? Or is it modified to be like a siphon?

Can I ask why it matters? Having algae in our tanks is healthy. If things get out of control it is a problem that is one thing, but having some bubble algae here and there isn't hurting a thing. I have some that grows in my tank and only remove it when it gets so large. Same with some of the other algaes that grow in my display.

Well it's fairly obvious in such a small tank. That's my problem. I've only seen it become a problem because it over runs frags sometimes.
