What about the tap water nitrate level? 10ppm for the nitrates isn't that bad if your FOWLR, i've read that the nitrates in a FOWLR tank should be kept @<30ppm, Reefs kept @ <1.0ppm.

I heard the same and read the same. Your nitrates are fine at 10ppm Im pretty sure. Mine are ~20ppm usually.

Mine are about 5 out of the tap, next purchase is going to be an RO/DI unit.

Yes sir, he said the clown is doing much better and is swimming, eating and acting like a clown. According to his post the levels in his tank seem to be good, lets hope so.

Yeah I know what you mean, the god fairing part of me say's to believe but I'm a realist and you know what us German/Italian's feel.
