Clown loach disapear??

My clown loaches have Ben missing 4 2 days now I've look every were do any body kno why they go missing

have u looked everywhere( filter,gravel,inside decor ect)

Yea haven't seen them in 2 days

I know I've did a lot of research on it just now everybody saying the same thing no answers they come out when they feel like it

i found out that they hide cause they dont have friends. so maybe you could get him another one? also if u have any predators in your tank (tiger barbs,oscars,ect) those could freak him out.thats all the info i could find. hope it helps

Yea its 2 that went missing yea I have 7 barbs

Yea I agree mine come out ever so often at feeding times. They seem more active at dawn and dusk. And, once they find a hiding place, they stay there. Even if you take it out of the tank! Mine swam out frantically when I put his castle back in.

Do a water change/vacuum.

While you are doing so, move the decorations and look for them if you are that worried.

From the look of the tank, they could be hiding very easily inside/under the decorations. Most decorations are hollow on the inside. This is where mine like to hide.

You may pick up decoration and not see them, because they could be inside of it.


I highly doubt they all jumped out without leaving a single corpse.

If you don't want to move the decorations, then stop worrying about them. They hide sometimes.
