Painted gravel once had for awhile gets chips and eventually you see the tiny rocks they used

I love it! It looks smooth too so you should try Cories on it but keep a close eye on their barbels. If they start to get worn down switch to sand. I have heard of Cories doing well on gravel so you should try it I think.

I am moving my cories off gravel for barbel issues. I am not certain it is the culprit but have my suspicions. Just saying...

Nice job on that tank! And great thread. This has inspired me to change to sand and get some cories - now that I know how to do it.

How many pounds of sand did you end up using? Did you say that's a 20 tall (that's what I have)?

From that level I used a small amount From a 50 pound bag so like 10 or 20 if you want that much sand
