Couple of questions!

Hey everyone! This is my first post on my new app I downloaded to my phone. I am starting out on Tetras half-moon 3 gallon bubbler and autochanger light kit. I am planning on getting a betta fish and a couple snails and maybe some shrimp. I am starting the cycling process. I am just doing it with Betta food. My tank is pretty cloudy and the whisper heater that came with the kit is bubbling like crazy. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

LOL also I was wondering if I could buy my snails and advance to help speed up the cycling process is this a good idea or a snail killer? Because I actually want to keep mine as pets after the cycling process or will it be too unhealthy for them?
