I have a school of 8 DNRs in my 36gal planted tank. It's been running for 4 years (I've had the rainbows for about 6 months), weekly ~40% WCs. Amm 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10-20ish.
One of the females has one eye that is popping out of her head. There is no film over the eye, the eye is not enlarged, and the eye is not cloudy. It's simply protruding from her head very far. She seems to see fine, because she moves around like the others and has a good appetite.
I'm not too concerned, just wondering if anyone has any idea why the eye is like this. It literally looks like her brain just expanded so there was no more room in her head for her eyeball, so -pop!-
I appreciate any input
