I have 2 in my tank and both lost their crown in the past 3 days. Nothing has changed, params are pristine. Do they do this from time to time or is it strictly a stress thing?

How long did it take?

OK, I've also read that they will drop them if they move to make a new tube or if they are going to spawn. They've been in the tank for months and haven't hand any problems.

So...how big are the worms themselves if I happen to see it crawling across the tank somewhere?

I had a crab that was after mine I think that's why my dropped. I have two and the both dropped there's the same night and both came out of there tubes one was about an inch and believe it or not I found him and took him and his tube and stuck him in another tank I picked the worm up a actually started him back in his tube and he slide right back in. The other one I though the crab eat him and about a month or so later I seen his new feathers sticking out from under a rock so I just left him there lol
