I did a water change on Wednesday, Friday I noticed a film on the top of the water also lots of little bubbles. I added a power head today for more water movement . Any other ideas why??

Tank size, lighting, filtration, parameters? A picture would make it easier to try to figure out what's on the surface of your tank if you could

Not enough surface movement .
It sounds like excessive protein .
Could you list a few more details about your system? Setup , stock , skimmer, filtration , ect

I had an issue with surface film. I have good water movement, my filter is a hob overflow with sump and skimmer. After adjusting everything twice I figured out it was my overflow box. I adjusted it till it skimmed the film from the surface. Haven't had a problem since. Hope this helps...John

Thanks guys I added the power head towards the surface and that took care of it! But now I think I got diatoms on my sand bed . So another water change tomorrow will be going down.
