Okay so I can’t tell if this is fin rot or nipping. I had another fish that had a back fin similar to the orange guy yesterday and today he’s dead (very similar coloring but much larger. She was very beautiful.) I finally got my 30 gallon tank back in line so they’ve been cramped in a 5 gallon tank for several weeks. It’s possible it could be stress aggression but they’re all female.

I would think fin rot but I’ve already fixed that issue we had a while ago and I periodically add melafix to make sure it stays gone. Plus, it’s happened over the course of two or three days. Seems way too fast. The dark spot on my yellow tailed girl’s fin is new too. I check my levels every single day (at least once) and do 10-20% water changes twice a week (ish) my levels have been staying extremely level with ammonia and nitrites at 0 and my nitrates are never over 40 (usually around 10-20.)

Any input or suggestions at all? I’m so tired of having guppies die :(

I have these 3, a danio, a platy, two Cory cats, and a butterfly loach.

My filters don’t have carbon.
