First tank! 28 Gallon tank

I lost my inhabitant today, an Emerald crab. It started to get a little white on it and then died unexpectedly. Are Emerald crabs sensitive under certain conditions?

Sure it isn't hiding after it molt? They get ghost white before they molt and act strange at times.

I'm pretty sure he's dead.

There's been times I thought mine was dead. And he just shredded his outside skin.
