Comfirmed. Picking up new tank tomorrow morning. So far, I have the day off which means aquaria mania.
Here's my current ph. Looks to be about 7.4, maybe 7.8, I dunno. These tests sometimes make me think I'm color blind. :O
Operation: New Home
It has begun. Tank is cleaned and in place. Im currently cleaning the sand and should begin filling the tank within the hour. soooo excited.

ocminpin said:HAHA! I ask my 6 yr old son, "What color does this (holding up test tube) match the closest. Since he doesn't know what color i want it to be he is quite beneficial
Donkey Gun said:LOL! Maybe I should adopt some color readers then.
The temperature is now matching my 29 gallon but I'm still waiting for the water to clear up. I'll probably begin adding the fish in the morning.
Couple questions though.
Should I cut up the existing 29g filter media and evenly distribute it in both compartments of the 55g filter?
OR
Put the entire 29g filter pump and all and run it with the 55g filter?
I hope that makes sense..
jlk said:Either will work. Do you have immediate plans for the 29g? If you do, then put the media in the 55s filter. If not, then id would run them together. So, what are you going to do with the 29 now?
Donkey Gun said:Thank you for such quick responses!
No filter yet, because I didn't want the fine particles to mess up the pump. But, if you think it's safe, I shall begin...
OPERATION: tank jumper
I have setup a ring of fire between the two tanks and will begin to train them to jump into their new 55g home...
or maybe I'll just use the net.
