Ok, so I am really considering getting a new SW tank. I have a 90 gallon reef in my living room that is doing well, and I am kind of intrigued with the idea of getting a 29 BioCube for my bed room. I do have some questions about it. I have a stand that would fit the dimensions I found online.

1. Is it a whole package you buy (lights, filter, et c.) or just the tank?
2. If it is a package, where can I get it?
3. Approximate (no livestock) price?

I am thinking about this stocklisting...

pair of Black Occelaris Clowns
a Green or Citrinis Clown Goby
and maybe 1-2 other small fish

I would like to eventually get a RBTA. The main point of this hypothetical tank would be getting fish/inverts I couldn't get for my 90g.

Thanks in advance!!!

I have the 29 cube. :)

everything is included for the approx $249, the lights, filtration, bioballs, return pump...

You';d still have to get one powerhead and maybe a heater.

I have in my 29g a pair of b&w's, a citron goby, yellow watchman goby and a mandarin and a scooter. I'm overstocked just a little but it's fish only for now.
I don't have a definite yes or no on the rbta, I would lean towards no, not with stock lighting. UNLESS you go with the metal halide bio cube

That link is for the one I would be able to get the RBTA with, right? Cuz that one is $500. Since I REALLY want one. Not necessarily to host the clowns, just because they look amazing IMO. But with the lights + the actual anemone being a total of $350, dang.

Yeah, that fixture would allow you to have most anything you wanted in the tank. depends on if it's worth it to you.

I don't really think $350 is worth an anemone.

Are there any anemone substitutes that DO NOT have any sweeper tentacles?

I'm no anemone specialist, not really sure. I did have a condy nem and it grew too huge for my tank. lol Had to return it.

I would recommend checking Craigslist as well. I got a biicube 29 with 30 or so pounds of live rock, 2 clowns, food salt etc from 150. I'm very satisfied with the deal I got.

 I totally forgot about CL.

And I was thinking of anemone substitutes that have no sweeper tentacles that don't need the light a RBTA needs?

Ya cl has been good to me. Just got a bc 14 w live rock live sand and cleaning crew for for 60. Both bcs was established for a year.

Ugh. The only CL tanks I can find in my area are either just tanks, or 55+ gallons. All FW.

What did you put in for your searches. I use fish tank fish, fish aquarium, biocube, nano cube, live rock, coral and salt water. People list em under diff tags. Both tanks I drove an hr and a half for but for re deals I got it was worth it for me.

Try the others as well. It took me a week or so bfore I found the first one. I will say the first bc I got is covered in all types of algae so im in the process of getting rid of it but still an excellent deal to me. Patience paid off for me

Decided to go for the HQI 29 gallon. I REALLY want that anemone. Which means it will be quite awhile before I get the tank...
