I messed up and my poor guppy lost his dorsal fin.
So I remove water from my tank to test with a 5 ml. dull tipped syringe. I do this instead of dipping the tube in for two reasons. The first being the tank is on a desk with a very expensive laptop and TV. Avoid spilling water. Second, I clean pools for a living. Avoid hands in tank whenever possible.
Anyways, poor little guy swam right up to it, got caught in the suction and got away by his fin tearing off. I feel so awful. He has not had any changes in behavior or appetite yet. I'm familiar with the methods of assisting regrowth after fin rot, but I'm open to any advice. Anything helps, I feel terrible even looking at him.
