Hi, I just started a 36 gallon tank aquarium, and I'm planning on doing a monte carlo carpet. The thing is its my first time growing monte carlo,so I don't know if my monte carlo is dying since its turning brown,or if its growing since I do see some small new growth of leaves.I am using co2,and it is my first time using it,so far i have it set at 2 bps.i used root tabs, carib sea flora max substrate, along with black sand to top it off.i have been dosing it with flourish comprehensive and api co2 booster.

Mine did the same thing after initial planting. Turned all brown and melted away, but as long as you see some new , green growth, it comes back. Keep it cut short when it starts to fill in or else it will lift out of the substrate. Love M.C., but I learned recently it has a ' shelf life'.

Good Luck !!!
