Help ID Snail...ramshorn? plant friendly?

Hi There! I just found this guy in my tank. I think he/she/it (lol) is really neat looking. I think it is a Ramshorn but would lik confirmation...is this a plant friendly snail? I put it in a jar just long enough to take the pic, was never out of the water, I didn't want to damage it. :)

It does not seem to hide like the pond snails I have in there, although this one doesnt really blend in as well with the substrate. lol

edit: I just saw it attached to my anubia.....hopefully itis just eating the algae, if so I welcome the addition. :)
 
Looks to be a common ramshorn snail which is perfectly plant safe. It's the big ramshorn snails with stripes that are plant eaters.
 
looks to be a normal one.

really the marisa are the striped ones? used to have one... until the filter incident
