How do you know if your overstocked

Just wondering if u can tell if tank is to full or not ..

Do you just have high ammonia I'm guessing

if your are really really overstocked yes (assuming the tank has been cycled for awhile and high ammonia is not due to low amounts of BB) though mostly if you have sufficient bio filtration you will just high amounts of nitrates that are hard to keep down
