I have some Anubias and Java on rock. They are in the garage by a window that gets indirect sun. No heater in the tank. When I remove water from my main tank it goes in here to feed the plants.

How long does it take for these types of plants to attach to rock?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1471783976.664019.jpg

In my low tech tank which I'd call adequately fertilized, it took over 6 months until I saw the roots starting to attach to rock. The stone was reasonably rough. On driftwood though, it looked like at least some of the Anubias roots had attached themselves to the wood in about 3-4 months.
