Hi, I just filled my tank and started cycling it and I'm wondering if I need to put in aquasafe now to take out the chlorine and heavy metals or if I can wait until like the day before I get the fish?
How soon to add Aquasafe?

Hi bud,
The nitrifying bacteria won't grow in chlorine, so you definitely want to add it in now. In fact, chlorine will flat out kill the bacteria.

If you have some fishfood layin around you could put a pinch in to start your cycle. It will eventually breakdown into ammonia and start the ball rollin for ya. You'll need a good liquid test kit also. API makes a master kit thats def. topshelf
Also be prepared for plenty of pwc's if your doin a fish in cycle.
