Powerhead is an aqua clear 50 I believe and air pump is a marina 100.

The powerhead should have come with something called a venturi attachment. It's a piece of airline tubing with a cap that you can open and close. It should stick into a small hole on the top of where the water comes out. If you lost the tube and cap just get an airline valve and another piece of tubing and stick it in. There's no need to hook up an air pump to it.
