It's normal to get some melting. Plants adjust to new conditions. Start at 6-8 hour photoperiod so you aren't growing algae.

Alright, I finally setup the DIY CO2 system last night, took about an hour before it started producing, and now its spewing CO2 out. I have a piece of bamboo chopstick at the end of the hose, but it's not doing a good job breaking the bubbles up, so I'm just waiting for my glass CO2 reactor to get here from Hong Kong. I dosed .5mL of Flourish last week, I'm going to do a water change today or tomorrow and redose and hopefully the plants start to improve.
Still need to get the shrimp but I wanted to get the plants squared away first. I
