I have two pictures attached. These corals haven't opened up in two weeks, so I'm trying to decide what the problem is. My finger leather coral is doing great.
One is my toadstool that has a hard "growth" on the side with a little black stringy thing. I have tapped it and it is solid - not soft like the coral.
The second one is my Devil's Hand. There is a ear-like purple thing at the base, and what is that solid build-up that looks like a tree? That build up is all around the back of it.
I dipped both Corals in Marine Melafix an hour ago, and the toadstool had nothing, but the Devil's hand had a long worm (3-4"). It was quite red, so i'd probably go with a fireworm. Also, a weird little pest like thing came off as well.
Should I just let them be, or is there something I should do?
