My first tank

Thanks! There's a Chinese algae eater, amanos, nerites, 4 rosy tetras (not to be replenished)...and as of this morning, only 1 of 2 GBRs ;(. There were 3 red shrimp but I've not seen them since the day after they joined the crew. Maybe the ram died for having eaten all 3?! I love this hobby!!

It literally took me all day. I was trying to rinse out the old substrate before adding the new one. It was a big mess and at one point I wondered why I had messed with a good thing! Daily 5G water changes for 2 weeks to bring down ammonia but its been stable at 0 ever since. Despite the ordeal, I love the change and will probably start doing it annually.
