Mystery Fish!?!?

An anyone tell me what type of fish this is it is freshwater I caught it in a medium sized creek in Iowa.

He is about an inch and a half.

That's a darter. Not sure which species, maybe rainbow or iowa darter? There are a lot that look somewhat similar so you may need to just google around till you find a match.

There's several species in your area that have great coloration like that. They are a really cool and underappreciated group of fish, for sure.
