As you all know, hurricane Irene hit the east coast of the U.S. I did not have a generator to maintain my tank, but I planned on tending to it during the power outage. Well, there was an electrical fire and a flood in my basement an we had to evacuate. All in all, when I returned to look at my tank, 4 shrimp had disappeared and there is little blotches of fuzzy white alge-like stuff on my plastic plants. And I was just wondering what it may be. Pictures to come.....

have you tried vacuuming the stuff off? is it anyway it would be something that's rotting, maybe food. picture is really too far away to tell what it might be
