I was reading that Nerite Snails do a great job with algae. I have also read read that they leave white eggs everywhere. Are these a good addition to a freshwater tank with Cichlids. Also I read where fidler crabs were good also. Any comments on that topic appriciated.

I have a 30 and a 65 gallon tank.

I just got my first three nerite snails for my FW tank and yes, they are good at cleaning algae and I've already seen eggs, too. The upside is the eggs don't hatch in FW, the downside is you might have white spots all over the place. I've read varying reports about the eggs (some people have tons of them, some don't).

What kind of Cichlids ? Some will just torment the Snails.

Fiddlers need land as well as water. Not totally aquatic.
