well it turns out that the first batch were infertile.

As of right now, there is a second batch already that has been laid. We will see how this goes this time. lol

I read that it can take many tries to finally get a successful batch of Blue Rams. The parents still seem healthy and happy!

These are proud German blue ram parents! We finally have a successful batch and about 50 very small fry! Not free swimming yet though.

The mom ate most of the little guys because she got scared when I went to clean out a bunch of string algae, there was getting to be a lot of it so I needed to.

But I don't think the dad was happy about her eating them because he was chasing her and now he hovers over the few that are left. Here's a picture of him guarding. Can't see the fry b/c they are still really small and in the algae on the wood. His colors have been awesome lately!

Very nice colors! If you get any to adulthood I'd buy a pair off you. :)
