This will be a FOWLR tank.
Anyway, I am picking up a 65 gallon tank on saturday that i got off CL. This is what he told me that im getting with the tank... 36" strip light that holds two fluorescent bulbs, the hood, 60+ pounds of gravel, Marineland heater, Eheim Professional II (I believe the 2026 model) canister filter, aerator..
Got this setup for 330 bucks.. i think i did ok..My questions are :
1. Im going to build a 20 gallon sump tank what kind of protein skimmer should i use?
2. If i am using a sump should i have another filter also? Maybe use the canister filter im getting with the tank or is the sump enough?
3. Do i need power heads in the tank for water movement? How many?
4. Im sure the light is one of those cheap ones and i will update it in the future. Can i just use it for now?
