So soon after my last post, I was getting 2ppm of ammonia to zero ammonia and nitrites within 24 hours.
Yesterday morning, I got 9 fish:
6 Serpae Tetras
2 female, one male platy
Interesting observations so far. As of this morning, still reading zero ammonia and nitrites (so the cycling is still working w/actual fish!)
The tetras wolfed down the food I gave them this morning (mini pellet type).
The platies nibbled it, but seem far more interested in the algae that is growing. In fact, they've done a rather good job cleaning up the algae on the plastic of the HOB filter and heater, as well as the algae on my java ferns...is that typical of them?
