New tank set up

Hi everyone I recently bought a brand new tank and it's been empty for a week now. New fish are ready to go into the new one. I was wondering what is the best way to put them in? Is there something I should do to get them used to the new water or will they be ok putting them straight in?

The tank does not sound cycled.

You should float the bag and slowly add water to it from the tank. Then put the fish in the tank and dump the water in the bag down the drain. Over the course of about an hour.
