old filter(i think) i found..

anybody know what the heck this filter thing is, if its good, and when it came out? i found it with a bunch of my old tanks and was wondering.

I think I saw some of those at petco the other day. Almost the same idea as a sponge filter, right? Ran with an air pump?

yeah, it just blows air through..

Yeah, I just saw them so I have no idea how long they've been around, but they still are. I suppose it would be okay for a small tank.

yeah, i remember using them in little tiny tanks when i was like 5..just figured since i don't have cartidges for my whisper yet that it would hold up for a while
