Oscars.. eat snails?

Does anyone elses oscar(s) eat snails? Trumpet snails at that? LOL I had a friend who works at petsmart bring over a bag of about 200 or so trumpets for my clown loaches... and as soon as i threw them in the tank he stuffed his mouth full.. eat and spit out the shell.. kinda cool

Oscars are notorious snail eaters. I'm not surprised that they are able to eat MTS that have thicker shells since they have powerful jaws.

Powerful jaws yes but MTS shells are extremely hard. Are they sucking out the snail or crushing the shell?

he is crushing the shell 0_0... and they are the little trumpet snail lol got them for free from petsmart.. for my loaches... and his piggy butt ate most of them lol
