Paver's Gravel anyone?

My local Home Depo had pool filter sand, but it was the very fine variety. The guy did point out the paver's gravel mix which seems to be a mixture of stuff from fine sand to larger gravel bits. Anyone used this stuff?

some marine tank people were just posting (on another board) about pulverized limestone. Any ideas, remarks?

Unless you can identify what is in the gravel and ensure that it hasn't been chemically treated with anything, it will be hard to determine whether or not the paver's gravel mix will either mess with your water parameters and/or harm your fish. Lime stone will most likely raise the KH/pH of your aquarium, which may or may not be desirable.
