That is some kind of mushroom. Awesome looking! I wish I could get some of those great looking hitch hikers instead of the nasty ones! I'm sure that someone in here will know exactly what it is. To me it looks like some kind of Ricordea but I don't know for sure.

I agree it is a Ricordea mushroom. Nice hitchhiker! People pay good money for those in the store and you got it for free.

Thanks for the ID! I'm pretty excited about it and just hope it survives. Right now, I have it at the bottom of the tank. Should I move it up higher eventually closer to the light? And how much flow do these guys like?

So I definitely think I got lucky...weighing in at a quarter of a pound, the rock costed me $1...no joke...I saw it at the LFS and the guy sold it to me for next to nothing. Maybe this hobby ISN'T so expensive...hahaha! Yeah right!

Ricordeas are the higher light loving mushrooms, so I'd move it up closer to the top but not directly under the light.
