so what im trying to do is pump water from a barrel into my RO/DI instead of having it come from the house pluming..... this way i can put the waste water from the RO/DI back into the barrel and get 100% efficiency.

I tried hooking this up with a 1900GPH pump and it wasnt enough pressure to push through.... i get water coming out of the waste line but no good water.

any idea how big of a pump i'd need to get this going?

I can't see how this is going to help you as your putting all the crap back into the barrel, eventually there will only be crap water left in the barrel.

Why not just get a inline permeate pump it will double efficiency by when the ro rejects water it hits the permeate pump which forces it back into the ro machine for another attempt to filter it and no power needed all your going to do with trying to get 100% efficiency is clog your membrain you could also put a softner in that will help big time.
