purple algae problem.

the purple algae that is on my fiji LR, was deep purple a couple of days ago, now alot of it has a whitish hue to it. I would describe it a white film.
my water quality is excellent except my ph 8.0-8.2

How long have you had the rock? It's normally for newly introduced lr to have some die off of coralline algae. It will recover.

it's been in the tank about 1 month just about 4 days ago it was deep purple. It accually appeared to be spreading.
