QT questions

I have a 5 gallon sitting around and I was wondering if it would be a good QT for new fish (If I get any) they would only be in there for about 2 weeks.

A 5 gallon is good if the fish is small. Will you be using a seeded filter? If yes, you will only need to change 25% of the water every other day (5G is very small). If you are using a non-seeded filter, you will need to change the water out 100% a day (50% AM and 50% PM). I would also test the water often to ensure there are no ammonia spikes.
