Best coral to start up a reef?

What are you asking? What's easy? What is beautiful? The general question you have asked would compel me to answer "any coral".

This seams to be a good place seeing as i already started a similar thread .
Mr x I posted a thread with a picture of what i have now .
Im looking for a suggestion of something that would look good ,
A monti ( vase coral ) looks nice but I want something that spreads as well

What is the name of the thread? Monti caps are nice. See if you can find a green with purple rim cap. They are pretty nice and grow fast. They scroll though, and don't cover rocks like an encrusting monti would. Lps like a nicely colored chalice would be an option too.
