Hi, I'm purchasing a refugium sump, and i've been looking online for the Mud, but there are soooo many choices of brand and type...
Can someone advice?, What's good, What's not, What's best? :?:

Thanks

I have it in my refuge also but The LFS put it in there so I dont know what type it is. Sometimes I wonder if it is necessary. You`ll have to cover it up with sand so I wonder what the purpose is.

Miracle mud was popular in the past. IME not as many people use mud in fuges these days. The benefits, it seems, were a bit overrated. I would just use a shallow sand bed of about .5-1.5". I can't suggest one type/brand of mud over another sorry. Good luck

Then i should be ok with sand, rock and plants?

Mangroves are plants, but I have really only seen them in a refuge....

Well, i meant those that you put on a refugium to help eliminate nitrates... plants or algae...
