What's your opinion on salt mix, are they created equal, or do you get what you pay for? At my local "big box" pet store they carry 2 types: there labeled one and instant ocean which I've been buying, but its $10 more per bucket. Thanks

We use the tropic Marin salt in all our tanks. Stable and never an issue. The calcium is a bit low, but I have been using the regular formula, not the reef. Their reef blend has a higher calcium content.

I use Red Sea pro coral reef salt. Love it and everything is doing well, but I have nothing to compare it to, so I don't know about the others. Red Sea, Instant ocean Reef crystals , and Tropic Marin is what my different LFSs use and their fish and corals look awesome.
