Sand from old to new tank?

Could I add the tank from my existing 6 month old tank into the new 20L after it has cycled and I am ready to transfer everything over?

Its not recommended for various reasons. It's better and wiser, to start with new sand again.

I agree. Go with new sand as the other sand will have all kind of trash in it that could crash your tank.

Thanks, that's what I figured but was just shirt of the amount I think I would need and was trying to avoid buying more. Oh well, more over budget we go haha.
