Saved one fry!

I managed to save a fry from my main tank, I placed it in a spare tank and put a live plant in it and a heater, I cannot afford a filter right now
What should I do?

my fry are in a 5g qt with no heater but I do monitor temp by having a thermometer and so far it does not fluctuate in temp....stays around 80

What about filter? I water change daily
I'm in uk so it's very cold ATM thus the heater
Any other tips?

How big is the spare tank? If its 5gal or better then you should be ok w/out a filter for awhile. It's just the one fry right?
