Should I put snail out of misery?

About 2 months ago my mystery snail started laying on the bottom and not moving. It opens its shell, closes its shell. 2 weeks ago it started going up the sides of the tank again. Now its on the bottom again. I have no idea what is going on. The other one is fine and has even grown since the other one been goofy.

Well, it took care of it's self. Mrs snail is no longer with us.
